On Equal pay in sports

Again, when we talk about equal pay, we should never forget that capitalism is what propels it, especially in male dominated sports.

There is no way the women in the left picture should be paid the same as the likes of LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, etc. The audience that bought merch, and tickets just weren't there.

But this new generation of women are now pulling crowds as seen in the right picture. There are fanboys/fangirls defending and analysing the games of Catilyn Clark, Angel Reese and others. And I don't know the factor that propelled that audience - but that's what we should be gunning for in women's in male dominated sports (eg football). More of that audience to support them, buy the tickets and get the merch. That's the only way they can command higher pay.

Notions (Wi-Fi)

We don't know what we have until we lose it. I had written something down on this particular issue, and that had been a depressing stuff. However, the one I'm emphasising on today is actually more stupid than sad, although I'm very sad about it. From my first year, I had prided myself in it having subscribed a monthly data plan by myself while school is in session. I got 'it' as a gift from an acquaintance. She was the hurdle in my workplace. I was lucky enough to be interning in the same department where she was the lead manager.
