Notions (Despair)

I went to visit a friend and the mom was watching a video. It was a Dubai man who was saying something about Nigeria. He mentioned that Nigeria has got the better resources, than Dubai and all. That, what puts Dubai at advantage is better leadership, rulers with the interest of the citizens, wise people.

The above is not wrong at all. What puts us behind is the fact that there is gross mismanagement and disruption in the way the administration should go. I do not know the correct form of governance to be used, but I'm well aware that the one Nigeria is currently practicing is not it.

No wonder Plato advises that only Philosophers be King. The state of leadership of this country is appalling. I do not know where to start admonition and I don't know how safe it is for one to make a free speech. However, I've got to write what I feel.
Most especially for me as a youth in this country.

There are no opportunities for someone like me. If there was any, it's something that millions and thousands are tryna grasp within their reach. Why will a supposed "Giant of Africa", have this sort of thing.
How is it possible that the economy has depreciated so badly from Colonial times. I'm even going far, how is it that our supposed primitive ancestors had their economy better managed.

My lecturer, Dr. Opata said it's the separation of religion from the economy and using the religion as a means of an economy itself. That is true, to an extent. I maintain still that there should be complete separation amongst the two
Other countries like America and China, I do not see the fusion between the religion and economy, yet their economy is boosting.

Thus, the man of Dubai is absolutely correct. How then do we change this? Some people have been saying #RevolutionNow. How does one conduct revolution in this kind of country. What's the aim? Is it to remove all of the administration, is there a plan?
Let it not be like the French revolution that brought about worse case scenario for them?
Are Nigerians even ready for any revolution. After the Nigeria-Biafra war, how certain are we that such situation will be better than the last one?

It puts the inhabitants of Nigeria in a dilemma. Majority of people could care less about governance and what they most. Many do not put interest again, as of me, I hardly know if those governing apart from a selected few. Money is the end game for people, because they believe that taking a hold of money will lift them from the pit of subjugation that the country has subjected her citizens to.

Is there even any advice that should be sent to our leaders? Can change be possible. The current president promised change before his first tenure, unfortunately we were not able to decipher the change he meant. How exactly can we find a positive change.

This brings a state of frustration and despair amongst the citizens. For youths especially as the future of this country is seeming more bleak. The possibility of progress is not forthcoming from what is obtainable in this present society. The question thus remains, Apart from change in leadership, is there another possibility for a better country?
