My views on Life (Inspired by my friend 🤗) I think that the purpose of humans on this life is to live, in the sense that we strive for what gives us peace of mind, what makes us happy and satisfied. Also, we live to help others, to make the world a better place to make our lives easier. Sometimes, we extend same gesture to other people by being philanthropists albeit not always monetarily. I also know that in life, there is no truth or false. We only have our own perception of what is true. There isn't particularly any morality: I mean there was a point in time when rape wasn't a big deal, when incest was a thing, when slavery was a means of income for a certain continent. In such situation, they had justification for what they were indulging in. In life, anyone can back up his/her perception if the right evidence is found. I also feel that people fear the unknown in life. Because we don't know some things, we hope on the supernatural to be our guide. Because...

I have a few thoughts that I want to let out and some questions that are gnawing on my mind. Before I go on, I find it hard to believe that some women actually still believe that they are men's property, that the end game of female is marriage. Not only are women more empowered these days, I like to think that we are not as naive as our mothers and grandmothers were. On relating to marriage and motherhood. I feel as though that it's the society that makes people think that way. Our extended family has it such that we have uncles and aunts interfering with our lifestyle and the notion that we are supposed to adhere to the teachings of our parents, we tend to aspire for marriage. That is why we see women who have graduated, yet they feel as though they are failures because they are not married. Today is the first day of Second Semester. So the class was more of introductory class and the lecturer taking it was same as a course I did last semester. He was calling out the results of a course I had already written and he called my name My mind was going haywire, I was kind of optimistic because he wouldn't just call my name if I "banged" the course. When you try to forget about some of the atrocities befallen upon blacks by the system during segregation and discrimination, you're smacked in the face by another injustice by a system that allows such to happen to people just because of the colour of their skin. Yesterday, as I was going and coming back from school, I saw a mason who is a female working at Okeke hostel. I was surprised, (well not really that surprised). Jobs are really being gender neutral this days. That one isn't even what I'm concerned about. It was the event of today. I was walking to school and I actually saw two women were at the site. The man, the supervisor I think said to be filling the buckets that the women hide under the banner of "Nne nwanyị" not to do the job efficiently. Apparently, she wasn't filling the buckets to the brim yet she would most likely receive full payment for each pail. Note on Nne Nwanyị, Not Because she is a woman. I smiled, women and their cunning behavior. We still use the tag "fairer sex" to get away with some things.
