Moi Lamentations( Throw back)

I know, y'all have been posting since Saturday on how the country is a joke. I just wanted to assert the claim and this one isn't even about the election. That one has always been a joke since the Presidential debate

I'm talking about our Library ooo. Yeah, that almighty Library that Unn peeps were using to run mouth during that Unn vs Unizik saga. Okay, I'm not actually a library person, infact the only time I do visit it is to use fast WiFi or cbt exams

Unfortunately for me, my Professor said to go look for a textbook there, that would be where she would set the test from. And someone like went online first of all to check if I'll see free PDF online. Na-ebe kwan, e no dey at all

So, my friend and I checked last year first. No show on either textbook. Someone had probably borrowed them but that was partially true. We saw one last week when we revisited and that was after we told the lecturer it wasn't there, for her to give us hers to photocopy

Okay oo, She sent us back yesterday and Jah help me, we looked for that thing like crazy. My annoyance is even that the shelves were as dusty as shit. We even asked the librarian and rechecked the catalogue again. We visited borrowed books, special books in case it was already beyond repair.

Anyways, we finally found one and took some pictures. My anger still remains the state of the university library. Like dafuq, this university has the country's name and they don't have books in the library

The state of those books are fucking nothing to write home about and it's painful, so fucking painful. To think that they can't even buy books Online and upload to the university online library or something.

I'm quite certain that the last time books were restocked should have been more than a decade. It's a shame, a huge shame. Even the least University in America will probably do better than this.

I don't know why on Earth I was born in this country. I was pissed like mad but I'm taking the words of Mark Manson, It's not my fault I got sent here, but I'm responsible for how I react to my predicament. At least it's better than being in the middle East or remote areas of the world

Kai, I shaa know I'm not visiting this library again unless it's absolutely necessary. I couldn't even sit down for a long time. But whatever, I saw the lion painting while I was leaving and I thought "Let me just take a shot here" and I did.
