When you try to forget about some of the atrocities befallen upon blacks by the system during segregation and discrimination, you're smacked in the face by another injustice by a system that allows such to happen to people just because of the colour of their skin.

I didn't watch "The Hate U Give" till last month, and upon watching it I got to know about Emmet till, a 14 year old adolescent boy who was lynched on accusation of supposed "chyking" a white women. This was in the 1920s.

Now, the story is sad and all, I was even vexing for Khalil's death which I know is fiction although stuffs like that happen for real.

But people, you've got to, got to watch "When they See Us". I swear, if you had been angered by "THUG", you're going to have to start crying cos of that film. Do you know the most heartwrenching thing about the movie? It is that the movie is actually based off a true life story. The victims in the movie are actually still alive. It is a 4 part season film

For the culture people, if you haven't watched it, you need to. We read about how we are supposed to know our history and all, not for revenge, but so that "We Will Not Forget". So that those people will not be forgotten, so that at least, the injustice hidden underneath  be brought at least to life. So that you know that the little we see is just a representation of the thousands of others who were/still a victim of such system.

I've read about a boy electrocuted by such system and was later acquitted but after his death. Korey Wise is still living, but the trauma, by God the trauma: I can't, I can't even fathom how he must have felt for the about 14+ years he spent in Isolation. Notwithstanding that a teen was tried as an adult and given the punishment when he was totally innocent.

I don't want to start being a huge racist but that white Bitch lawyer that did that to them deserves death. I ain't no Nelson Mandela who was all "Wat is Verby is Verby". What's in the past ain't in the past, you need to confront that issue head on. These 5 guys had their lives totally disrupted and all because of the colour of their skin. Damn!

Please people! I beseech y'all, Make out say 5 hours of your time to watch this movie. At least it's realistic unlike una "Game of Thrones" wey reach 8 seasons and is still fiction on top of that. You don't only watch films for entertainment, sometimes you need to watch it for the "culture" and for one to know the reality of the world we live in.
For the culture people!
For Emmet Till
For Korey Wise
For Yusef
For Kevin
For Antron
For Raymond Santana Jr
For the millions of faceless people who had undergone such experiences because of a system
You think "T.H.U.G" is filled with injustice, that one na comedy for where this movie dey.
By God, Try and watch it
I'm still angry, Fuck!!!
