My views on Life (Inspired by my friend 🤗)
I think that the purpose of humans on this life is to live, in the sense that we strive for what gives us peace of mind, what makes us happy and satisfied. Also, we live to help others, to make the world a better place to make our lives easier. Sometimes, we extend same gesture to other people by being philanthropists albeit not always monetarily.
I also know that in life, there is no truth or false. We only have our own perception of what is true. There isn't particularly any morality: I mean there was a point in time when rape wasn't a big deal, when incest was a thing, when slavery was a means of income for a certain continent. In such situation, they had justification for what they were indulging in. In life, anyone can back up his/her perception if the right evidence is found.
I also feel that people fear the unknown in life. Because we don't know some things, we hope on the supernatural to be our guide. Because we don't understand some things, we leave it to the divine. Because we cannot dictate certain things, we believe that the supernatural direct our every step
Likewise, we cling onto religion because we do not understand. Thus, having this fear of going against a certain dogma that has been inculcated to us by the religion and by that I mean "Hell". Well, religion is another broad topic on its own
I also believe that nobody owes me any thing in this world. Whether my friend has something or a relative, I am not entitled to favours.
Although courtesy might demand that some favours be given to me, it's not their duty or obligation to render some services to me. That's why I don't care much about people who complain about so and so uncles and relatives who never transfer cash or anything to them. They aren't the one who brought me to this world. Infact, We enter the world alone, and as such we need to work out some things ourselves.
In addition, that since life has no formula. There's no need for rush. A person might have a fast track career and another a much slower one. A person might be deeply religious and living his best life, that an atheist might also be living her best life and vise versa. So just do what goes best for you
That nobody is responsible for my happiness apart from me. No external factor. I think that the reason why people have so many problems is thinking that peace of mind comes from outside. Like I said in the beginning, our purpose is to live. However in a bid to find that peace, people cling to many factors like friendship, Relationships, money, assets, career, religion, culture and other stuffs, which might be toxic but we hold on to that.
You know, there was this book by Eckhart Tolle that I was reading about Life in general. In a part, I think he got from Buddhism that was emphasising on the mind. That one should separate the mind from the body, that almost every situation is an illusion. Until we realize that only we have the control of how our mind influences us, we'd still be needing external factors to make us happy.
So In life, I have to make peace with my mind first, which I think I'm successful in doing to an extent. I also know that other factors are important but not what I should kill myself over.
