I must have been under a rock cos why did I just discover Lattafa. So, I was planning to buy Eilish no 1. But I got second input about whether it was a financially responsible decision. And truthfully it wasn't. I still had 7 bottles so it wasn't a need but I wanted it. So I did my research. Turns out that there is an Arab perfume (Nebras by Lattafa) that has the exact notes as the Eilish perfume. And by same notes, I mean the top, mid and base notes are the same except for one ingredient.  And even more, people actually said they prefer the Arab one and it even lasts more than Eilish no 1. And the best part, the Arab own is 3 times cheaper than Billie's own. Anyways, I just heard the goodness that's Lattafa brand. Any niche fragrance I want to buy, I'm finding their own version. I'm really hoping they make "Hundred silent ways by Nishane" and "Mon Guerlain" equivalent. Again, many expensive items are inflated because of the celebrity or bra...

Two series I'm engrossed with: 1. Greys anatomy. I didn't understand the hype until I started episode 1. And before I blinked, one month has passed and I found myself in season 8. I had to forcefully force myself to stop watching it cos it was affecting my sleep schedule. I'd code for the whole day and still stay up till 2 am for Grey's anatomy 2. When I eventually pulled myself out, I just couldn't find another series to enjoy. I was still riding the highs of it. But I got this recommendation of 9-1-1 and it's spin off, 9-1-1 Lone star. And the second one is literally giving me the same exact feels from the couple in Red white and royal blue. So if you liked Henry and Alex, you'd definitely love TK and Carlos in 9-1-1 Lone star. I didn't think I'd like a couple as much as I did Henry and Alex. But you see Tarlos in 9-1-1 Lone Star, omg. Beguile by Ọma perfumes smell is just chef's kiss. It doesn't smell cheap at all for its price. And I'm saying this as someone who has smelt original MFK Baccarat Rouge 540, MFK Grand Soir, MFK Amyris Femme, Frederick Malle The Promise, Dior Sauvage Elixir, Nishane Hacivat, Layton Exclusif. None of these perfumes I mentioned are less than $200.  So it's obvious to me when a perfume scent is synthetic (coughs in Colour Me perfumes). Of course, when it comes to longevity, they beat Beguile (like Frederick Malle actually lasted 5 days on the pillow I'd sprayed it on, and MFK Amyris Femme lasted the whole day with just 2 sprays on my neck). But Beguile lasts solid 8 hours if you use about 8 sprays and the sillage and projection is actually impressive. If want to own a perfume that smells expensive without spending so much, you need at least one Beguile by Oma perfume. I recommend starting with Seduction or Goddess. Last year, I was bemoaning my fate on if I'm even a good enough software developer. There was this guy I was interning with and my goodness Lord, I wanted to quit every single day. My mental health was in shambles. And truthfully, he was a better developer than I was but his attitude was shitty. So when the internship was about to end and they said they would be retaining only one person, I already concluded I'd be let go cos he was obviously better. So I started looking for other gigs on time. But guess what, I was the one retained. I literally even told them that I had another role so I wouldn't be dedicating 100% and they told me that's fine, we just want you on our team. It's really then that I understood the importance of attitude at work. Cos that guy was annoying to everyone. He was nitpicking both the designers oo, fellow frontend people and even backend guys. I was watching House MD, a Hollywood medical series and it dawned on me on why older series seem so much better than recent movies. Apart from the actors being into the roles, characters were allowed to have flaws in older series. Like this House MD, the male lead has no filter, one other guy has a superiority complex going on, the female lead is self righteous, and the other guy is quite selfish. These make their behaviours unique and realistic. Unlike these days where the characters have to be liberal and should say "all the right woke things." Which rids the individuality and complexity of different characters. I'm certain that House MD series would have been cancelled if it was aired these days but it ran for 8 seasons from 2004-2012. Really surprised I didn't know about it prior to now.

I don't even know if it is this Mr Henry Wigwe's death but I'm less and less aspiring to be at the highest echelon of this career thingy. Cos this life is all a journey to death. And death doesn't ask for permission when it comes knocking. And we talk a lot about legacy but the term is just being remembered which to some large extent, is fueled by ego.  Plus, no matter how impactful you are, not everyone will remember your legacy. Hell, there are still some people that don't know Jesus Christ. And many more others that don't know Michael Jackson. I'd watched the docu-series of Alexander the Great, and his influence then made people see him as a demigod. But even now, only a few lore geeks remember him. We are dust, and unto dust we shall return according to Genesis 3:19 . So it becomes a question of "do I want to be remembered by the whole world?   Naval and Omotoyosi Ogunbanwo made me start considering tech very seriously. But the last straw on the camel's back that made me abandon my masters in history prospects was (ironically research). I scoured the internet, for career progression for someone studying history. Nothing really positive. Infact, even Caucasians themselves said they are not seeing any jobs. Those that got employed at museum said they did art history, so archaeology graduates have better chances of placements than pure history. I visited Reddit, Quora and the end goal usually ultimately ends up as a professor, of which I am not the most patient person for it. I then searched career progression of programming and unless Jesus Christ comes down today, they'll always be need for programmers, even with the A.I.  I said, even if maths is a must, I'll go back and learn. It's not as if I was not good at maths before. Anyways, I am not earning as much as I'd like, but I am where i am supposed to be...
