Promises...

​Making a promise is easy but keeping them is much harder. Just like the saying "Easier said than done". Personally, I hold promises very dear to my heart and I rather prefer a person not to promise me than failing to keep such promise. 

I remember a story I read online which made me angry for some reason but I will just summarize it. "A man lost his wife for nearly a decade and he didn’t remarry. He kinda resorted to criticising people that remarried and promised his last son that he wouldn't remarry at first. He even swore that even if he would it would be later and such be for companionship and he wouldn't have other kids again. In less than a year after saying that he got married and even had a kid"

I'm just imagining how the child would have felt. Of course, he believed the father cos he trusted him but he could not live to the expectation. On a personal note, I think the father must have done the deed before even approaching the child which is basically "trying to prevent what has already erred". 

I think people should think properly before making promises because a broken one can really hurt feelings. I will try and do same so I will live peacefully.
