LIONHEART
Genevieve Mama be doing Nigeria Proud.
Lionheart is what I call a movie not the nonsensical trash that we always see in the name of movies. The movie is Bae, I can't get over it. I shaa am still mid-way through the movie and surprise surprise, I haven't fast forwarded it at all.
The setting, theme, language, acting. It just flows like what I film should be. The usual stereotypes in Nollywood wasn't there at all. There are scenes which can't help but make you laugh because of how reminiscing it is. I loved how they Incorporated Igbo in the film especially the usage of proverbs by Pete Edochie and Osofia. I loved the actors that were used, The depiction of Nigeria as it actually is. And the soundtracks, It was good not hearing horrid soundtracks we see in Naija movies (telling you the scene before you even proceed).
The movie is a breath of fresh air to what we see in Nollywood. All these D-List producers and directors should go learn from her. Genevieve creates *Art* and that's what we aim to see in movies, what we hope to enrich us. If there were more movies like Lionheart, I wouldn't have disliked Naija movies like I do.
I enjoin you all to go watch Lionheart of you haven't watched it.
*#OBIAGU*, that's what It is.
