Notion (vi)

I follow lots of people on Facebook (more like stalking), you know these highly intellectual humans who are always making scholarly posts that get more likes more than pictures. I don't mean these thrashy 'Like if you love Jesus' posts, I'm talking of personal accounts with over 10k followers. One of them, Mmiliaku, a hardcore feminist made a post about religion, three posts actually.
This happened last year, around October or November time. I was scared on her behalf and had accused her (inwardly) of slander and libel against an apostle of God. The post was on 'how misogynist Apostle Paul was in his teachings'. At that time, I had thought of how sacrilegious she was and swore that she had sinned against the holy spirit. Infact, I was praying that God will touch her heart so that she would sin no more.

But the truth of the matter is that Paul was/is indeed a male chauvinist. I didn't want to accept the truth then cos I was afraid of thinking that an apostle was wrong. He has the anointing after all. That's correct, but he is still a mortal. His teachings about women was that of thralldom to the male gender especially that part he was instructing Timothy to not allow women to speak in the church.

Jesus didn't discriminate against male and female. Shebi Jesus told Martha to forget cooking and come listen to his teachings' and told those Jewish hypocrites to 'keep on throwing stones at Mary Magdalene if them never sinned before'. It's quite ironical that in this present age women are now Bishops, Reverends, Pastors, Evangelists as opposed to Paul's instructions.

Where was I? Ehe, I was saying that he is a mere mortal with the anointing who wrote series of letters to different churches of his time. Some instructions are supposed to be restricted to their time and not being preached repeatedly in churches today. That it was written for those Greek churches is not even my issue, my concern is that archaic preaching are still being retained and emphasized on by preachers especially about women.

Before you start arguing about my calling the words from the Bible archaic, Remember that slavery is legal in the Bible, incest was allowed, rape didn't even have corporal punishment, you have not even kept 1% of the commandments of the old testament. Ehe, you will soon comman say that the old testament commandments has passed away with Jesus coming, then why is it still in the Bible? Some teachings are retained, does the 10 commandments ring any bells? Tithe Paying nko? Touch not my anoited? Rodger that people...

Anyways, some of Paul's teachings are out of date. Do research before you flare-up with defence of Brother Paul. It's just like that time Pastor Adebayo said that  RCCG will not wed men with beards as it is a sin. (Funny because all the pictures of Jesus I've seen depicts him with beard) He is anoited, is he not? If by next 2000 years, someone compiles his work and publishes as a teaching, does that make his doctrine sound?

I won't deny that Paul was/is a great man who brought the gospel to the gentiles: you and I (I don't wanna hear of your Hamitic account of Igbo origin: Umu Gad), so if not for Paul, we will still be condemned to hell by Christian religion (though we are still condemned to hell in 4199 other religions)

I believe that Paul was/is a product of his society the he grew up in. A highly patriarchal society which is so unfair to the female, so it must have affected his views. I refuse to accept some of his teachings as inspiration from God. You know, he said "There is no slave, Jew, Gentile, male or Female in Christ" but still he gave admonition for "Slaves to be submissive to their masters with all diligence".
Lol... The Bible shaa, If I say it has many contradictions and lacks logic, people will start having orgasmic outbursts from defensiveness. That will be a post for another day, maybe long time sef... Holla
