On Caroline Girvan and the Epic Heat Series
Just completed the Epic Heat program which was so intense. A tear dropped outta my eye when I saw the confetti after the EMOM workout ended. I feel incredibly proud of myself.
Even though I didn't finish day 48 because the push-ups were incredibly hard on me and I half-assed, I figured I'd better replace it with pilates so I don't do mediocre moves. Despite that, these past 10 weeks (plus a deload week I took after week-5) has been challenging and I was able prove to myself that I can commit to a programme and to do hard things. Next on the list is the deload week, after which I dive into a series of shorter workouts spread for 4-5 weeks before embarking on another long programme.
Caroline changed my life. I can't even. Like I can't even begin to explain. Went to the market the other day and my customer was like, "you look lean and fit." I was just preening cos around early 2025, the same person had told me, you've added weight.
See, I know we're not supposed to comment on people's bodies but personally, I like being called out on it (if it's coming from a place of love). My eldest sister always used to point out that I was getting bigger during our video calls and I would brush it off that she'd been exaggerating. It wasn't until I'd lost about 10kg that I looked at my current before and after picture that I realized, she'd been right. My face really had been bloated. Fat blindness is indeed very real.
But I digress.
Caroline is the best thing that has happened to my physique. The absolute best for traditional home strength training (though hers is more on endurance and increasing hypertrophy through lesser weights, longer reps, and shorter rest times). I always know I'm in for a ride whenever I start her videos.
And the DOMS afterwards? Love it especially for hamstrings workouts. Again, I adore that woman. If you're short on time or can't make it to the gym but still want intense workout, definitely Caroline. 1000/10 recommend
