should not keep to Daily Routines...

How many times have you read speakers encourage people to, "Have a Routine?"

I know, me too. I

I have heard it many times that I finally decided to implement it about a few months ago.

Keeping to a desired routine each day.

The most recent I tried was on having a daily sequence.

By that I mean, having a draft of what you intend to achieve the next day. And while that is brilliant and helps you focused and determined to complete the plans of the day, it becomes boring very quickly.

Gradually, it becomes monotonous. Especially if you are taking each of the very steps judiciously in chronological order.

For instance, if your daily routine looks like this,

  • Wake up
  • Drink water
  • Jog for 20 minutes
  • Write for 30 minutes
  • Breakfast
  • Read mails
  • Check LinkedIn profile
  • Read news headlines
  • Lunch
  • Binge on Netflix
  • Sleep
  • Scroll social media
  • Dinner
  • Read mails again
  • Prepare a checklist for the next day

So, if you do this repeatedly for a few months or even a month, it becomes an obligation.

And that is the last thing you need on your plate.

You would soon stop being enthusiastic about completing your routine. It starts feeling like a control, a cage of some sort that you must keep to.

And above anything, what to avoid in having the best mindset for life is 'ensuring that nothing is having a hold over you' more so when it's a self-imposed cell.

It rids the initial reason for creating routines in the first place as it replaces the fun with a drab lifestyle.

No spontaneity and fun.

So what do you do?

Since you do need a routine. You do need to have a clear and concise plan for the next day. It's an essential tool for a highly productive life.

What you need to do is

"SWITCH IT UP"

Roll over that plan. Shuffle it. Shake it up.

Have fun while doing that.

So suppose you decided that your routine is like the above, you can start by binging on Netflix.

Yeah, it's valid.

You can create the next day routine just before lunch.

And you can decide that meditation would be the last thing you'd do before bed.

Honestly, try that. You'd be exhilarated with how a simple tweak and re-arranging can make the routine all the more interesting.

I'll share my today's Experience with you.

Normally, I pen my daily writing challenge early in the morning doing any other thing.

But I decided to start with checking LinkedIn and browsing the info I needed to know online. I binged on YouTube, did the other routine I had.

And for creating the mail, I haven't done it yet. But my usual activities for the night have been completed.

But I have the whole night to do that (of which I would).

But take heed to make the switches in minimum, to avoid your sliding to a temptation of binging Netflix all through the day.

It's all about the moderation my friends. It is key and of utmost importance.

So as we juggle this life of improvement, I hope you keep this in mind.

Have fun with the routine. Make adjustments and changes and have a more fulfilling life.

Bless...
