On Villian Women Bible Figures

It was awhile back when I started questioning how the bible presented the so called villain women in the bible.

Delilah - What on earth would you have her do? Samson was outchea pillaging her people. And the leaders of where she came from gave her an ultimatum to get that work done, get that man's weakness. Her work isn't any different from what some of these Russian spies were doing during the world wars and cold war eras.

Jezebel - Really. So what if she brought her own gods to the land. So you that's a Christian, you don't think you'd try to convert your husband if he is not the same religion as you are? That shit of a man called Ahab was the one that committed the offences. And she tried to cover up for him. And what did she get in return? The cowardly son of a bastard went behind her back to seek God's forgiveness. Leaving her to deal with consequences 

Vashti - Literally, she is my favourite female figure in the bible. The fuck you mean I should come and parade in front of you and your drunk-ass friends. Like I'm a property or what? L.M. to the fucking A.O. 

Then you have the pious ones they use to teach us lessons. 

Case in point - Esther. No blame to her cos she is also a victim of circumstances, but do we really think she was just enclosed in the room with the stupid ass king, doing what? Reading the fucking scrolls or what? That man had a harem and she was just one part of it. I'm not shaming her but she must have some bedroom skills that the man kept coming back every night.

Then Ruth, this girl literally hatched a plan with her mother in law to get herself a sugar daddy. Full blown seductress, love it for her.

The Bible is such an interesting book if you read it as a historical document, not the word of God. One of my favourite core childhood memories was my mother enjoining my sister and I to read the Bible. So I literally was reading from Genesis all the way to Revelation with Goodnews bible. I skipped them Isaiah, Jeremiah and etc cos they were boring as fuck. Then had nightmares of the book of Revelation wey be person's dream (ahem, clears throat... vision). 

Just imagine compiling the nonsense Odumeje dey spew, or those old deeper life videos where they said TV is devil's box, or the atrocities TB Joshua faked as miracles or ndα»‹ Jehovah witness wey dey quick cut off family. Then 6000 years in the future, people are using it as the source of truth and basis of mortality?

Make no mistake, I'm very pro Christianity. For others shaa, not me. Cos I can't imagine who Nigerians (insert men here) would be if they don't at least have that fear of afterlife holding them back from doing the most. Also, people need hope. Imagine feeling hopeless and not having a spiritual tether keeping you sane with the state of this country. 

Anyways, I'll stop here. It's been a while since I've written an epistle about Christianity. Let me go back to coding and shit 🫠🫠

On building JavaScript without help - 1

I know, I have not garnered the expertise YET That I'm very much, still a beginner in web development But it doesn't make me feel any less sad. Because when I follow along tutorials, I grasp what the instructor is doing. And I code along with them However, when push comes to shove (as it did this afternoon, I'm stuck) However, I'm not going to beat myself up, cos I actually succeeded in creating a toggle on the DOM And I'd been wrapping my head around how I did those.  Of course, I know this is a progress, and I tried. Notions (Today)

Today was something else. Tiring but well spent. (8/8/2019) My first class by 7, and we ran to Political science Dept as it was raining. I didn't really stay through the lectures, it was occupied. I took some shots cos I felt I was dressing cool and all. From there, I went back to the department and my friends and I decided to go to the market to measure the clothes my friends and I would wear for our departmental night. On reaching to the market, to the shop where we could buy materials. Ifechukwu and I bargained for the price. I surprised myself the more with how vocal I was about selection of the material to wear and the bargaining.
